Ownership Rights

The ownership of property is subject to the type of the property. Foreigners can buy up to 49% of the total floor area of a condominium on a freehold basis. Foreigners are generally restricted from owning freehold title to the landed properties. There are exceptions for example on industrial estates or for companies with Board of Investment Approval.

In general, a foreigner may lease land in Thailand not exceeding thirty years.
